Foxhunting
Another cool article I ran into the other day was the foxhunting championships. Or just an article about foxhunting. Wasn’t quite sure. But you can read it here.
They had the championships and had some very surprising winners. Doesn’t fox hunting looks really fun? I wish I could do it. but I live in a pretty remote area and we hams don’t exactly have a lot of activities like that. Plus I only know of one kid who is my age in the whole state that is my age and a ham. In fact I don’t think I even know any hams who are under 35 here! So I guess you could say that I am kind of lonely in the “ham my age” part of life.
Also, the ham that is my age is like a 9 hour drive away from me! So I suppose it is not that bad. But I wish that there where some more hams more my age. But all of these old ham are not that bad. I mean they are really helpful and are willing to give me some of their stuff, which is never bad! Also they have lot’s of experience and helpful insight. So there should always be a mix of young and old I suppose. That way you get the best of both worlds. Also foxhunting is usually done by younger hams too!
This is another cool article that I found while looking at the latest news at arrl.org. Which by
the way has a couple of new articles a day. So this article was about some kids raising money to go to Costa Rica and being a DX station. It was a great article and you can read the whole thing here.
Alright one last link to another cool article here for a article on post tornado amateur radio help.
