Chess is a very fun game that isn’t at all for men with big beards. I really love chess because it is an excellent game of chess strategy and get’s your brain working. Also the basic rules are simple. But I betcha here is some you didn’t know: If one of you pawns reaches the other side of the board you can transform you pawn into any player you like, even a queen. That is why in some chess sets there is always an extra queen. Also the white pieces always go first. There is also some other rules that I can’t remember. A really awesome chess set for beginners and the aged is “No Stress Chess”. This is perfect for children getting used to the game because they can play right away and memorize the moves the pieces can make while playing. In the directions of this game their are some more advance rules and very cool ideas. It also adds a level of difficulty for older players.
Chess strategy
Here are some chess strategies that I have found to be effective and very useful.
Side by side
This chess strategy named this one for obvious reasons and after the side by side shotgun. The side by side is a deadly chess strategy that is very effective. The idea is to eliminate most of the other player’s pieces and then trap him on his side of the board with two pieces that can move in straight lines. One covering the line in front of the king, the other the king himself. This is usually only effective at the last part of the game where most of everybody’s pieces are gone. A variation is to use your queen and two rooks(castles) to do the exact same thing except covering behind the king, in front of him and the king himself. I use this strategy very often actually.
Diamond
I named this one because of the diamond formation the pieces make. It is a little complicated and is probably hard to accomplish, but at least it helps you think of a way to checkmate your enemy.
Hey Peter,
Interesting Thoughts, Applying chess practices is not a straight ahead circumstance. This course of action seems to run on a much more intuitional unconscious stage. This can be securely assumed, because a great many so-named chess young children have remarkable tactical and strategical grasp and they seem to know instinctively what a chess position entails.
